Description

Nore Valley Park & Pet Farm is the perfect day out where visitors get to enjoy an animal encounter or experience nostalgia learning all about the history of Irish farming – it’s a place where memories are made! Stroll around the open pet farm and watch the animals – or are they watching you? The setting is relaxed and offers lots of interactive experiences such as bottle feeding lambs and goats, or cuddling with cute bunnies and chirpy chicks – it’s a ‘cuteness’ overload! Offer the donkeys a carrot or two – but watch your fingers…eeeeeaaaaaw! Take a moment out of your day and relax with a cup of tea and home-baked treats which are available from the shop. Alternatively, pack a picnic and enjoy al fresco dining at one of our picnic tables. On site, an 18 Hole Crazy Golf course beckons you to test your putting skills – all ages, all abilities, all are welcome. Pick up a putter and as you move through the course, enjoy the many sights and sounds of nature as you play a round. Who knows you might even see a goat or rabbit while you golf. The 18 hole course has a great mix of different length and par of holes, making it a real challenge – come, test yourself and see who will win – fore! Outside riders can try their handling skills on our go-kart track, test both nerve and speed as you twist and turn around the course – have you got what it takes to make the Nore Valley Park podium? A safe and suitable option for all farm enthusiasts is a tractor and trailer ride around the park. The tractor ride transports up to 30 people at a time, giving those on board the perfect chance to see and explore more of the park. But be careful – as you pass by the lazy river, don’t wake Charlie the crocodile, his favourite food is – children! Did you know? Crocodiles have between 60-110 teeth and can have as many as 4000 ‘gnashers’ over its lifetime – when a crocodile loses a tooth, there is already a replacement ready to fill the gap!
