Description

Dingle Way Shepherd’s Hut has been beautifully handcrafted to lend itself to its location – beside native trees nestled in between the Slieve Mish mountains and Annascaul Lake. The Shepherd’s Hut is set by a relaxing wild garden that has native sally trees, gorse and wild flowers. At the end of the garden, the Baile an Bhothair River flows gracefully. If you’re really lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the rather shy otter. Within the garden there are many species of birds and our wild grasses and flowers attract lots of pollinators, such as bees and butterflies. Our quaint and cosy self-contained Shepherd’s Hut is fully insulated with a shower and WC – there is also an electric radiator for those cooler nights where a little extra warmth is desired. Sleeping arrangements offer a comfortable double bed and a pull out camp bed, which provides the perfect stay for a smaller family of 2 adults and 1 child. The hut has a well-equipped kitchenette with cooking facilities, utensils, crockery and glassware – and there is also a communal outdoor barbecue.
