First erected by salmon fishermen in 1755, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge spans across two rugged cliffs high above the wild Atlantic Ocean. If heights aren’t your thing…DON’T LOOK DOWN – Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is suspended 100ft (30m) above sea level and definitely isn’t for the faint of heart, Below the cliff line a lonely cottage looks out across the sea, waiting for the return of fisherman with their catch. The National Trust is a conservation charity and are committed to preserving and protecting special places and spaces for everyone to enjoy.  This includes protecting ongoing conservation, managing health and safety and trying to ease traffic congestion around the site.
