Welcome to The Beehive at Pine Tree Hollow Glamping in County Down. Our glampsite is a quirky, child and pet-friendly retreat nestled in a tranquil hollow in the heart of the countryside. Whether you’re a couple, family, or solo traveller, The Beehive is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Our Beehive accommodation sleeps up to 5 guests. Inside, we’ve designed The Beehive with your comfort in mind. There’s a snug double bed and a triple bunk for nights of cosy comfort. Furthermore, there is a kitchenette with everyday essentials, including a standard size fridge, kettle, and toaster. Self-catering is simple and hassle-free in The Beehive. Our cosy wood burner sits in the corner of The Beehive and is ready to light with a supply of logs provided for your first night. Step outside into your spacious yet private outdoor area with cooking facilities (gas hob), cold water sink and barbecue. In addition there is fire pit and outdoor seating, perfect for stargazing beside the river or sharing stories by the fire. Our clean and modern wet rooms are located beside our cabins and our large indoor communal area with games and cooking and dining facilities is right beside The Beehive with an indoor fire pit, microwave and electric hob. As a pet-friendly glampsite in County Down, we encourage you to bring your furry friends along. As our animals live in close proximity of the site, dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Our glampsite in County Down is just a 5 minute drive to a local forest park. If you wish to venture further afield, Murlough and Newcastle beaches take just 10 minutes to reach by car. There’s so much to see and do nearby. Castlewellan Forest Park is just 5 mins away with walking and bike trails, horse riding, the Peace Maze, and water sports on the lake. You can also explore the ancient Legananny Dolmen, Finnis Souterrain or hike in the beautiful Mourne Mountains.
