Hello and welcome to GoPaddle.ie – Ireland’s Premier Kayak Academy. I’m Susan Doyle, founder, lead instructor, and lifelong lover of all-things kayaking. I launched GoPaddle.ie in 2015 to share my passion for paddlesports with people of all ages and abilities. Based on the scenic River Slaney in Edermine, County Wexford, we offer guided tours, lessons, and kayak rentals that bring you up close to the natural beauty and wildlife of this stunning Special Area of Conservation. Our aim is simple – to get more people out on the water and to make kayaking accessible, enjoyable, and safe for everyone. Whether you’re joining us for a family adventure, a school tour, summer camp, or you’re training for instructor certification, you’ll be in safe hands. In addition, I am a Canoeing Ireland ambassador, and all our instructors are fully qualified, experienced, and committed to delivering a professional, fun experience. From playful otters and graceful herons to the occasional grey seal, the River Slaney has surprises around every bend. Our 4km paddle route is peaceful and scenic, ideal for beginners and casual paddlers. Prefer to go solo? We offer kayak rentals so you can explore at your own pace. Want to build your skills? Our Kayak Academy runs tailored coaching programmes for individuals, schools, and groups at every level. At GoPaddle.ie, we’re more than just an activity provider – we’re a community of paddlers. The River Slaney is one of Ireland’s few rivers where you can still spot the rare and protected freshwater pearl mussel, a species that can live for over 100 years and indicates exceptionally clean water.
