We began our glamping dream two years ago, inspired by a desire to diversify our farm and share our love of nature and hospitality with others. Our site sits on 130 acres of farmland with a beautiful river view, and we live directly on the River Bann, where fishing is a regular pastime. Each winter, whooper swans return to the fields, adding to the sense of seasonal magic and connection to the landscape. The location is both peaceful and convenient, positioned along the Belfast to Derry route, just 35 minutes from Belfast and 40 minutes from Derry. Our home is a 1600s listed building with a rich history. Richard Todd was reared here and later became the first man to land during the D-Day invasion in the Second World War, before going on to enjoy a successful acting career. We raised our family here and cherished every moment. Now that our children are grown, my husband and I felt ready for a new challenge. We both love hosting and meeting people from all walks of life, and glamping has allowed us to do exactly that. Looking ahead, we hope to extend our business further in 2026.
