Hello! We are Marcus and Clare and Mardal Lodge is our family homestead. From Ireland's east coast, we defied convention, leaving high-octane careers for a simpler life out west. Settling in County Donegal's Lough Mardal, a 90-acre oasis, we fell in love instantly. Our mission was to create a glamping lodge located on the Wild Atlantic Way, with lakes, stunning landscapes and exceptional views. In 2015, we left the majority of our belongings in storage, and our adventure began - at first, residing in a yurt with our 6-month-old twins. Our journey so far has seen us introduce a vegetable garden, chickens, a wooden cabin with electricity and water, pets, cows, and the restoration of a cottage. Amidst nature, we embraced the ‘good life’ and disconnected from modern ‘white’ noise. Today, we are thrilled to share this special place with you, our guests.
