Hi, my name is Ruth Collins and I am the owner and operator of Nire Valley Eco Camp. After many years working in real estate in Chelsea and Belgravia, I felt the pull of rural life and returned to Ireland. I moved to the beautiful Nire Valley in 2013, and over time the idea of sharing this place through glamping took root and grew, with NVEC opening in 2019. I care deeply about animals and animal welfare, the environment, and a sustainable, simple, seasonal way of living while leaving as small a footprint as possible on our planet. I wanted that ethos to shape a gimmick-free, pet-friendly, eco-conscious glamping experience that still delivers real comfort. I also love sharing the place I call home with guests — some of whom have since become friends.
