Hello! We’re Emma and Pete, founders of Peatlands - a small, family-run retreat launched in 2024. Originally from Portrush and Cardiff, the idea grew from our Oxford garden, where Pete’s Bread micro-bakery began during the pandemic. We dreamed of creating a secluded, peaceful escape immersed in nature, and found the perfect spot on the Causeway Coast. Surrounded by woodland, peatland, wetland, and meadow, it’s a haven for wildlife, including the magical Irish hare. From our cosy shepherd’s huts, you might spot them at sunrise while enjoying fresh, homemade bread. Peatlands is a place of stillness, connection, and comfort - perfect for solo travellers or couples seeking rest and renewal.
