Wild Atlantic Glamping was set up by Caitríona Hanley in 2021 but its roots stretch back much further. Caitríona’s father is from Bere Island and her childhood holidays were spent there in the family home. These holidays gave her a passion for sailing, swimming, kayaking and all things outdoors, making this her dream business. Caitríona’s vision was to create a shared space to allow others to enjoy the simple but incredibly special experiences of being on an island that she enjoyed growing up. Caitríona and her team love nothing more than to see people relax and enjoy what Bere Island has to offer: whether that is a sunrise swim; eating freshly caught fish and chips after a hike; or simply going to sleep listening to the sounds of the sea and zipping open your tent in the morning to watch the sunrise over Bantry Bay, Wild Atlantic Glamping is the perfect spot to switch off.
