Description

Perched high on a cliff with spectacular views of the rugged coastline on the Dingle Peninsula, sits a Bird’s Nest unlike any other. Our accommodation perfectly suits those who wish to take in panoramic views or enjoy romantic beach walks. The Bird’s Nest is a cosy wooden cabin, completely surrounded by nature, and with open views of all that Ireland offers in an abundance – spectacular scenery. Furthermore, waken to the sound of waves lapping at the shoreline below your glamping accommodation window. Although Bird’s Nest doesn’t boast a five-star rating, you’ll find comfort beyond expectation during your glamping stay. Step outside, and with a billion stars for your viewing pleasure – who needs a tv!? Within the cosy cabin you will find we offer a minimalistic approach to glamping. Inside, you will only find a bed, a shelf-side table, and a small electric heater for those chillier evenings – simplistic life at its best! Gable side windows give you access to the most incredible views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Outside of the cabin there’s a small sink, and a big table and bench area for you to use. There’s also a spacious BBQ area beside your cabin if you’d like to use it – bring your own wood/coal and aluminium foil. Your outdoor hot shower is a short walk on the way down to our private beach – to reach you must be able to walk down stairs. Your toilet is about one minute walk away and the path is lit-up after sunset. Bird’s Nest is located right on the sea and surrounded by entirely by natural beauty. In addition, nature and outdoor enthusiasts highly recommend our glampsite for its immersive outdoor experience. It’s a great spot to hike, try water sports, disconnect and relax. Read or even write books – allow the amazing setting to inspire your creativity! As guests, you have access to roam freely around the grounds and garden areas. Atlantic Bay Rest features a communal area called the ‘Galley,’ perfect for chilling or watching beautiful sunsets. There is a small kitchenette that has a kettle, toaster, and microwave. In addition, there is a basket to carry the dishes to and from the outside sink. Beneath the Galley, our private boat ramp and kayaks are available. Both are free to use only when sea conditions are good. Furthermore, life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times in the water (compulsory) – no life jacket, no use (it’s a rule). For a fee, we have a sauna that sits atop of the private beach – 4 people maximum. For more accommodation, please visit our Owners Profile. note: sorry, but pets are not allowed. Minimum of 2 hours notice required to book the sauna.
