Hillview Hut is a lovingly hand-crafted shepherd hut set on a working family farm in the lush green meadows of County Meath. Located just 5 mins from historic Oldcastle town in beautiful open countryside, our cosy off-grid shepherd hut has a spacious open-plan living area. Within our spacious shepherds hut there is a fully-functional kitchenette with appliances, such as a kettle, toaster, and microwave. There’s also cutlery, crockery, and the usual kitchen utensils; to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Please note that there is no hob. Hillview Hut is the perfect glamping accommodation for couples, or small families as it sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. Inside our delightful shepherd hut there is a comfortable double bed and a convertible bed/settee for the children. Additionally, there is a private en-suite with shower, and soft, fluffy towels are provided for the duration of your stay. Located 15 mins from the M3, our peaceful glampsite is convenient to scenic routes and the historical attraction of Loughcrew Cairns. Off-site, Loughcrew Gardens, Lough Sheelin, Lough Ramor and Mullaghmeen Forest are all easily accessible from Hillview Hut. A warm welcome awaits you at Hillview Hut, but sorry, pets are not allowed.
